The Headteacher of Birley Academy in #Sheffield - Victoria Hall - has given a statement outside the school.

It’s after an adult & 2 children were injured there this morning.

She says the school will re-open on Thursday:

Assistant Chief Constable Dan Thorpe from South Yorkshire Police has also given an update following the incident at Birley Academy in #Sheffield this morning.

The school went into lockdown, and 3 people were injured:

A 17 y/o boy’s been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after 2 adults & a child were injured at a school in #Sheffield .

Police were called to Birley Academy at 8.50am after reports of an incident involving a ‘sharp object’.
