BREAKING: The Jillian Ludwig Bill, named for a slain Belmont student, passes the TN House. Under the bill, a defendant deemed mentally incompetent to stand trial, will be committed to a mental institution and lose access to firearms. The Senate will take it up this afternoon.

The bill passed unanimously, with a few Tennessee Democrats voting 'Present Not Voting.'

The House also passes a joint resolution honoring the life of Jillian Ludwig.
