Big news: Choosy's flown the System Preferences nest to become its own standalone app. Download version 2.0 now, for Catalina support, dark mode UI, better Gatekeeper and Little Snitch compatibility, and a whole lot more: choosyosx.com/releases/2.0

Hot on the heels of the 2.0 release, Choosy 2.1 is nearly ready to go. There's a new Safari extension, improvements to the browser management UI, and a handful of bug fixes.

Oh, hey, Choosy 2.1 just dropped. Not only does it fix a bunch of issues, but also adds a new Safari extension, better Chrome extension support, and lets you write rules for links coming from AirDrop! choosyosx.com/releases/2.1

I recently discovered Choosy and it's meeting and exceeding my expectations. It lets me direct URLs that match a specific pattern (i.e. Jira links for a client) to a specific Chrome personality, where I do all my work for that company. choosyosx.com

I didn't realize this just got a huge update! Choosy has been one of my favorite/most used apps for years and now it's got a massive, modern update! Huzzah!

Quick Friday hack: Use the choosyosx.com app to open links directly in the desktop app: 1. Add Linear as a browser to Choosy 2. Add an anvaced rule to open links beginning with linear.app or linear.app/issue to always open in Linear "browser"

Choosy (choosyosx.com) allows me to open Zoom links directly in Zoom—no browser required. Thanks Guillermo Rauch & George Brocklehurst for making my life easier 🤗 x.com/rauchg/status/…

Semi-regular reminder that if you want a great Mac app to customize/choose what browser or app links open in (automatically or presented with a choice) Choosy is just the best. I’ve been a happy user for over a decade!

Just shipped a new version of the Choosy Firefox add-on. If you’ve been having issues with Choosy 2 & Firefox 75, this should solve them. choosyosx.com/browsers

Jeff Johnson Ooh! I just remembered that Choosy can let me send all links from a given app (like, say Twitterrific) to a specific browser (say, LinkUnshortener), and since LinkUnshortener can send to my default browser (also Choosy) it can then act on the ‘clean’ link. Oooohh..
