It's finally out! Congratulations! Roberto Zoncu Dan Nomura James Olzmann @Clive_chung

Our review is finally out in Developmental Cell !! It was fun writing it during the shelter-in-place. Highly recommended to everyone interested in #lysosome,#autophagy, #mTOR. Plus, I think it's very well written :-p Couldn't have done this without Roberto Zoncu

Whoa!!! Congrats Doudna Lab on the Nobel and the free parking spot!!! #GoBears 🐻🎉🍾🎊🥳

Thank you U of Utah Dept of Biochemistry for having me! I look forward to my visit at the beautiful Salt Lake City 🥰

Some update and GREAT NEWS I am happy to announce that I’ll be joining UTSW/CRI Children’s Research Institute at UT Southwestern as assistant professor in January 2024. The Shin lab will work at the intersection of lysosome signaling and lipid metabolism, particularly focusing on their implications in human diseases

Excited to share updated preprint by Mangyu Choe showing that, contrary to textbook view, the role of allosteric regulation of glycolysis is not to control rate but to maintain ATP levels by preventing a futile cycle between upper and lower glycolysis. 🧵biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Z-lab get-together to bid farewell to Regina Hijai Regina Shin, who will very soon open her own awesome lab at Children’s Research Institute at UT Southwestern. Our lab won’t be the same w/o you, but we can’t wait for all the great discoveries you will make!!

Amazing lab, friends and mentor Roberto Zoncu. I couldn’t have hoped for a better environment. Thank you everyone!! Time to begin another amazing journey in my new home Children’s Research Institute at UT Southwestern . The Shin lab opens in January 2024. Stay tuned 🎉🤩🎊

The Shin lab is open for business on the 12th floor Children’s Research Institute at UT Southwestern!! Come chat about science, life in Dallas or anything😎

New preprint from our lab led by Mangyu Choe where we develop a genetically encoded tool for manipulation of ΔΨm and use it to show that uncouplers have major side effects and ISR in response to ATP synthase dysfunction is driven by ΔΨm. A 🧵... 1/8 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
