TL:DR, it's not been 'closed' for most of the time, is not really a symbol of broken Britain, but rather of a failure to think outside the petrol-powered box.

Our largest Chiswick garden, Beaconsfield Gardens off Acton Lane. Absolutely buzzing with insects (and birds, people, dogs).

The old Hothouse Cafe, caught employing illegal workers & paying them slave wages will become a new cafe, #Alaz , serving Egyptian food.

What a lovely moment. A mention on The Apprentice for the Cheesewick Cheese Market, which revived a godforsaken patch of concrete next to Chiswick High Road — it was started by volunteers like Oliver Holt Karen Liebreich — thanks to the whole team
