Having an awesome time this morning reviewing music history, elements of music and music theory with student designed music games. We have kahoots, flash cards, trading cards and board games.

The senior music class wanted to end their year by drumming with the wonderfully talented Justine Gogoua. We had a wonderful morning dancing, drumming and laughing. My heart is full!

Thank you to my friend and CSS music alumni Shirantha Beddage for taking the time to work with our jazz band students this week. Shirantha Beddage is a professor in the music department at Humber College and has been nominated for three Juno’s. Amazing experience!

If possible, ask kids what they want feedback on before providing any. It's honestly a game-changer for the feedback. Make it simple. My students often just leave a comment on their work with one thing to celebrate and one question for me. It changes the dynamic completely.
