Had an enjoyable visit to the Chippenham Museum today. Loved the Sindy exhibition. Was like being back in the 80’s again. 😊 childhood all in one room 🥰

Loving getting the images sorted for my book on Kington St Michael & Kington Langley, Wilts. Many sourced from the community & some from fab archives & museums like Wiltshire Museum & Chippenham Museum. Then there is the image we commissioned from a local artist, John Harris. It is 🤩

Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund we are working with Wiltshire History - VCH and Heritage@WSHC to bring you a study day: ‘Maud Heath and Beyond: Exploring the Lives of Women Before 1600’.

Through our collection, we tell stories of many incredible local women. This year, we celebrate 550 years of Maud Heath's Causeway, joining Yesterday’s Story, Heritage@WSHC & Chippenham Library Wiltshire Council #WiltshireTogether for a Heritage Fund project to celebrate Maud.

We are excited to share an update on current developments and improvements at Chippenham Museum.

Our beautiful downstairs galleries are now being decorated ready to show our important local and contemporary permanent art collection. Opening Easter weekend!

This afternoon the Friends of Chippenham Museum welcomed Brian Rivers to the March Heritage Café to talk about the history of Chippenham Fire Service.

It was a full house and we were able to reunite Brian with his father’s uniform which is in the Museum’s collection.
