Great day with the Neeley crew from Kentucky. Blacktips, Lemon, and ended it on this Tiger Shark. The Tiger was a repeat customer, tagged this girl about 11 yrs ago in nearly the same spot.

First bite of the year, airlifted out. I’ve only seen them use the chopper one other time for an attack. Hope she’s ok. Can’t help but wonder about the dead whale buried down there 6 weeks ago.

Giant blacktip shark. Maybe my largest. We were looking for tigers but ended up with a bull and this state record size girl. All released and healthy as ever.

Good times with John and Heather from New York. Got them again tomorrow and Friday. They said they’re only on Hilton Head to catch giants and eat at Nunzio.

They were chewing this morning for this nice family from Wisconsin. A hammerhead, blacknose sharks, blacktips, a bull and a lemon. Only thing we were missing was a tiger. Another one of those days I wouldn’t swim.

Never caught so many baby hammers as I have this yr. Even had 2 on at once this morning. Water dropped to 82° from the rain, but it was still on fire.

Throw back to 3 yrs ago. Anniversary of landing this 1,000lb+ hammer. Pete Quartuccio was my customer, but he was too beat to grab her for a quick pic so I gave the camera to Ray & went. She would’ve nearly doubled the state record if we had killed it, but we tagged and released

Some of the hammerheads that come into our inshore area July and August are giant. Water is 85°, it’s going to get crazy for the next 6 weeks.

#7 is interesting. I get asked by other fishermen over and over why I work with scientists when they constantly work against us. They have a point. What makes it odd is when these same people catch sharks with hook/line just like us. Distancing the gap isn’t good for either.

This dog. 3 yrs ago vets said she could go any day. With half a liver, no gallbladder, she’s dodged too many bullets to count. She hit 7 today. Some life we live, very blessed…both of us.

This shark almost beaches itself yesterday on Hilton Head. Seems to be a lot more of these clips this summer vs others. Clip taken by Coach Brian Lane from Ky.

2015 vs 2025 The weather today was miserable, the fishing was tough, but the company was top notch….such an honor to be a part of this family’s life through the yrs.

John and Heather from New York City in town again this week. They said they’re only here for 2 things, catch some giants and eat at Nunzio. Fascinating how different our worlds are. Heather said she hasn’t driven a car in 13 yrs.
