Drought relief… While addressing a mini rally at Onawa Informal settlement at Oshakati yesterday, information minister Emma Theofelus said government has budgeted N$825 million from the National Emergency Disaster Fund for the drought relief support programme.

Yes, I am quite serious. Nigeria does NOT have an overpopulation issue. What we have is Productivity issue. In the next 20 years, Nigeria will find itself in same situation as JAPAN and now CHINA. We will be talking about this later in the week.

One of my mantras for Nigeria: never give into the cynicism. Even when it's logical. Even when it's the 'right' thing to do. Retain your optimism, and hope and even a little bit of the 'naivety'.

It's short term costly but the long term reward is worth it.
