Very proud of our police officers and Salt Lake City Fire Department for their initial response to this incident. Their efforts saved lives and property; we should all be deeply appreciative of their service. Residents should remain on alert should conditions change.

I mourn the death of Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Deputy Maher Husseini and Dallas Police Officer Darron Burks.   My prayers are with their families, friends, and colleagues.   Officer Burks and Deputy Husseni will be remembered as guardians of their Texas communities.
