Fun and smiles all around with some our future city leaders at the Mayor’s Annual Back-to-School Bash! Awesome event filled with community, laughter, and support as we gear up for a new school year! …I even snagged a picture with Little Big Tex!

Loved speaking to and connecting with our community partners at today's Stemmons Corridor Business meeting. Anytime I can share the department’s goals and highlight the hard work of the members of Dallas Police Dept, it’s a win!

Big moment! Gifted a classic Stetson cowboy hat by Texas Game Wardens while discussing a huge new joint operation to keep everyone safe on Dallas’ lakes! Partners in protection — that’s how we get it done!

Proud to see these officers promote! Since Day One I have been committed to building and empowering leaders at all levels: from Senior Corporals training new officers, to Executive Assistant Chiefs commanding department operations. Congratulations – the best is yet to come!

This was one of the most requested things I heard in my first 100 days. Proud of our team for getting this option available to officers!

Fact check: Dallas has experienced 49 fewer murders in 2025 compared to this point in 2024 - putting us at 6.29 murders per 100,000 residents. Lower than LA’s 6.95!

As a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., I was honored to celebrate last night’s unveiling of a powerful new exhibit at the African American Museum, commemorating 90 years of the Theta Alpha Chapter. A tribute to generations of service, leadership, and brotherhood.

Thank you for riding with us yesterday, Mayor! I am always proud to show the hard work our officers are doing at the most proactive police department in the country!

These officers from Tarragona, Spain, are in the US visiting police departments, and I was excited to welcome them to Dallas Police Dept. They visited the Mounted and K9 units and rode out with patrol officers and the Fugitive Unit.

These officers went above and beyond to get this family the help they needed. I’m proud to see them show the same compassion for people that I felt when I first put on a badge all those years ago!

When Officer Burks was killed and Senior Corporals David and Farmer were seriously wounded, I immediately joined our Omega Psi Phi brothers in praying for these officers. Senior Corporal David embodies the traits of the RISE Award, and I'm proud to be her Chief.

My executive assistant, Ms. Susana Villalpando, has been with Dallas Police Dept for 30 years! She’s served under 4 other chiefs, seen it all, and keeps our office running smooth. Thank you for everything you do!

Today, Recruit Class #408 kicked off, and I’m proud to welcome 75 new recruits. We crushed this year’s hiring goal and made history—this is the second largest class in Dallas PD history with the second most female recruits ever!

It's opening day at the State Fair of Texas! I had a great time taking in all the sights, sounds, and flavors of the fair. I wore my cowboy hat and even enjoyed a corn dog. Grateful to share the experience alongside DFR Chief Ball and represent our city at this great tradition.
