Our criminal justice system is inhumane. I don't defend it. Part of that inhumanity is locking up vastly more neurodiverse people than in the free world through systematic biases. Part of it is adultification of children brought on particularly shocking or sensational charges.

If your idea of justice is this crime being exploited cynically as inspiration to make these prosecutions even more inhumane, something which will do nothing to help Brianna Ghey nor stop any future transphobic killing, then as far as I'm concerned, you are exploiting trans death

I remain, without reservation, caveat or apology, an abolitionist. The prosecution of Brianna Ghey's killers will not bring her justice. The separation of those who carried the knife from society merely covers up the responsibility of the society that inspired them.
