We're extending one of our most heavily ridden routes, the #9 Ashland, to the Ravenswood Metra station located at Lawrence and Ravenswood. The extension will reach an additional 21,000 residents and 15,000 jobs (within ½ mile) as compared to the current routing.

The City of Chicago is on track to install 2,200 new bike racks & corrals this year. With an estimated 17,000 municipal bike racks citywide, this is a huge one year increase in capacity. Additional bike parking will help support the recent surge in cycling across the City 🚲🛴🥇

I was thrilled to join CTA, CDOT, Metra, RTA, and early-rising transit advocates to celebrate the first day of the #9 Ashland bus route being extended to the Ravenswood Metra Station. We are increasing access to transit to thousands of new residents!

Happy #WorldEVDay! Chicago was recently awarded $15M in U.S. Department of Transportation funding for EV charging. Thanks to our federal partners, this will support a strategy focused on equitable distribution, community engagement, and workforce development. chicago.gov/city/en/depts/…
