Last evening 861 Tactical Team officers responded to a call of a person with a gun on Beat 831 in the area of 71st and Albany. Upon arrival they observed gang graffiti and a large group of young males in the area. The pictured handgun was recovered from a juvenile offender.

Officers assigned to the 862 Tactical Team were patrolling on Beat 831 near 63rd and California Thursday night when they observed possible drug activity. During the course of the investigation the pictured handgun and suspect cannabis were recovered from a 20 year old female.

Officers assigned to the 864 Tactical Team responded to a suspicious person call on Beat 833 Thursday night. During the investigation they recovered the pictured handgun from a 39 year old male who was charged with possession of a firearm by a repeat felony offender.

8th District Tactical Officers responded to a man with a gun call at a liquor store on the 2500 block of W 59th St. This weapon was recovered from an employee hired for security purposes. The subject did not have a valid PERC card, FOID, or CCL. They were also a convicted felon.

8th District Tact. Officers observed a subject walking, with what appeared to be a gun in their pocket, at about 7800 S St. Louis. Further investigation revealed that the subject did not have a valid CCL or FOID. Weapon recovered and subject taken into custody. Chicago Police

8th District Tact Officers on the 6300 block of S California observed subject with an L shaped object. Subject grabbed at object & revealed an extended magazine then fled on foot. Offender arrested & 2 additional firearms were recovered. Felony charges pending. Chicago Police

Tact Officers responded to Vehicle Theft on the 7200 Block of S Hamlin. Officers observed a tow truck present and the driver exited & threw an object, which was later discovered to be the above pictured weapon. Stolen vehicle recovered & felony charges approved. Chicago Police

8th District Tactical officers in conjunction with Officers from The IDOC Parole Section made 5 arrests while conducting compliance checks. Recovered: 6 firearms, 2 of which were reported stolen, 4 body armor vests, 1.5 lbs of cannabis, and 1.5 kg cocaine. Excellent work!

Tact officers were responding to a robbery on the 4400 block of S Homan.Officers were able to locate juvenile subjects with these weapons as well as a vehicle fob scanner used to steal vehicles.Victim belongings were returned.Subjects face several felony charges.Chicago Police

8th District Tactical Officers observed a vehicle with masked occupants hanging out of the window attempting to rejoin a group of "drifters." At approximately 65th and Pulaski the vehicle was curbed. This weapon was recovered, and charges were approved for Agg UPW under 21.

8th District Tact Officers observed a vehicle with masked occupants while patrolling a known Latin King area. A plate check revealed the vehicle was stolen. Upon approach the vehicle reversed and struck 13 vehicles. The occupants fled, officers were able to recover these weapons.
