The Clif Wallace Big Band is here at the Pritzker Pavilion, starting off the closing night. The dudes are paying tribute right now to saxophonist Frank Foster, who once led a big band of his own, which included Derrick Gardner, who is now in Clif's big band. Chicago DCASE

Trumpeter Eddie Henderson , who has also worked as a psychiatrist for decades, is leading his Quintet, joined on the front line by New Orleans legend, alto saxophonist Donald Harrison. The Quintet began with Herbie's classic from Mwandishi, "Toys." Up next! "Sweet & Lovely."

Pianist Orrin Evans, recognized as one of the freshest and uncompromising voices today, is leading his Quartet at the Pritzker Pavilion. He is joined by Caleb Curtis, sax, Bob Hurst, bass, and drummer Mark Whitfield Jr. Chicago DCASE Millennium Park

Caleb Wheeler Curtis is also playing soprano saxophone AND a trumpet with a saxophone mouthpiece. Also, Bill McHenry has joined the Quartet on tenor saxophone.
