Chester Township's DPW will be conducting its annual curbside tree collection THIS WEEK, from January 16-19. If you wish to have your tree picked up, place it curbside, and make sure the tree has been cleared of all tinsel and ornaments.

Traffic Alert: Be advised that today, sometime AFTER 9AM, there will be a pole installed on CR-513/Main St near the Firehouse which may cause delays. In order to set this pole, Northbound traffic on CR-513/Main St. may be stopped for periods of time. -4737

Due to the winter storm, Chester Township offices will be closed today, Tuesday, February 13th. We expect to reopen tomorrow during regular business hours.

Rt 24/CR-510 is CLOSED both directions between Colby Farm Rd and Fox Chase Road due to a wire down in the roadway.

Chester Township Municipal Offices will begin their summer operating hours on Monday, June 9th as follows: Mondays & Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesdays & Thursdays, 8:30-4:30 Fridays 8:30-12:30

With the holiday week ahead, there is a slight change to the recycling schedule. Blue Diamond will be picking up trash Weds, Dec 24 and Weds, Dec 31 as scheduled. However, regarding recycling, instead of the next two Fridays, pickups will occur Sat, Dec 27 and Sat, Jan 3.

The police department reminds all motorists that Chester Twp & Boro ordinances prohibit parking on any street when it's snow-covered to allow for the removal of snow from all roadways. Any vehicles left on the roadway will be ticketed and towed at the vehicle owner's expense.
