- 1st recorded mention of mill in is in 1518. Finally closed in 1919 & was purchased by Mr & Mrs Honnor who turned it into a tea room in late 1930s. Subject to Compulsory Purchased Order it was demolished in 1971 to make way for M3

Built 1851/52 the Old Town Hall cost £1,700 to complete. The arcaded section was used for weekly market for many yrs & we occupied upper bit 1965 until moved to current home!
