East Cherokee Dr is currently closed south of Bart Manous Road for a tree that has fallen.  (Near Mt. Zion Church) Use Bart Manous Road and Lower Union Hill as alternatives. Avoid the area if possible.

Today marks the start of National Police week 2023. This week, let us remember officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty and give thanks to those who currently sacrifice their lives on a daily basis. This profession is truly a calling. #nationalpoliceweek2023

The CSO has been lucky enough to have K9's and if you've ever met one, you know they are every bit a law enforcement officer as their 2-legged partners. Today, after five years of loyal and dedicated service with the CSO, Deputy K9 Xena officially retired.

It's Wonderful Wednesday! Wanted to give a shout out to Carmel Elementary's "Mustang Barn" for inviting our Oak Grove deputies to visit. Not only did we get to meet these sweet kids, we did not leave empty handed. Thank you for making us feel loved.

While at Northside Cherokee Hospital, Deputy Lockstead was notified of a cat trapped in the engine compartment of a vehicle in the parking lot. The owner of the vehicle was located. After opening the hood Deputy Lockstead and Animal Control Officer Nations rescued the kitten.

Guess who paid us a surprise visit this week? Retired “K-9 Dixon.” He retired in 2019 after serving Cherokee County for 6 years. He is 13 years old now and still lives with his handler Corporal Matthew Verber. 💙💙
