I like bread in Japan, but pineapple bun with butter (菠蘿油) is sooo not Taiwanese food! It’s from Hong Kong! ...I still bought one since I haven’t had one in a year anyways, and reheated a little in oven to melt the butter. Not bad, but not the same. #菠蘿油は香港発祥 #菠蘿油

Effect I didn’t expect from wearing masks: Improved Japanese conversations. Or maybe everyone now speak clearer because of masks... It’s a small win towards becoming more comfortable with the language anyways! #japaneselearning

Momlympics!

Things that happened in 3 months: Moved to Yokohama, then to Tokyo, started working in Tsukuba, lived in hotel for 23 days. Today I can finally relax at home and decorate my workspace with 2 recent covers I have created during all this! :)

And it's a COVER UBC Chemistry!! @sabselscott celebrates her first, first author paper, bringing polyolefins to life by catalytic amination. Thanks to ACS Macro Letters for the great poster for our first paper on postpolymerization modification by hydroaminoalkylation! #WomenInSTEM

Received a really pretty box in the mail on a random night, opened it carefully and it was… Flowers from our real estate agent, for the holidays! 🌸 Truly an omotenashi service from Japan.
