#choralcounting in Kinder Woodburn has been so fun to see! Counting from 1-10 on its own doesn’t give us a lot of “noticings”,so the team has added some great visuals to go along with it!

We had a blast at family math night! 1-2 grade students brought back their AVMR kits from last year, K and new families received new ones, & 3-6 took home fun new games! All families engaged in dinner together and learned about home/school connections with math! Woodburn Elementary School

Happy 100th day of school! Woodburn Elementary School celebrated the 100th day by dressing up, participating in a school wide counting video, and having fun with various activities in their classrooms! We love seeing our wildcats think about all the ways to show 100!

We had so much fun making our fruit loop necklaces while practicing our math skills by counting to 100!

I love EOY math PBLs! Woodburn 6th Grade Ss learned to build sturdy bridges. They researched, analyzed, and built their own bridges. Today was a test day before revisions. So much talk about proportions, converting kilograms to pounds, and design! FCPS Region 2 FCPSMathematics

I always love a good math task! Woodburn First Grade graders worked hard to show their thinking around decomposing the number 9. Their strategies were purposefully shared in order to compare differences and similarities in their solutions.
