‘Humans in Transit’ presents a mosaic of stories by people who attempted the perilous crossing to Europe. Their stories have been selected from hundreds of testimonies, collected by MSF International in Libya and aboard rescue vessels in the Mediterranean, after being rescued.

We are the indigenous population of that land, called Palestine. We are being wiped out by European settlers. Like they wiped out many indigenous populations before us. Their genocidal tools are slaughter, diseases, and famine. How little have they evolved.

One is a journalist, murdered by Israel. The other is a medical doctor detained and tortured by Israel. Both incarnate the struggle of their Palestinian people against a genocidal colonial power.

At least 20 people are reported to have died in a shipwreck off Lampedusa today. As bodies are recovered from the sea, the same Italian authorities who will mourn these victims are the ones ensuring such disasters keep happening.
