👏Congratulations to the young people at Robins Lane Primary School in St Helens for completing the Mersey Fire Beacon Project. Across 6 weeks the pupils develop a range of skills, including teamwork, communication, problem-solving, working with others and resilience. 👩‍🚒

12 children from Our Lady Queen Of Peace Primary, Litherland completed their #MFRS Beacon Course!🎉 They developed key skills in teamwork, problem solving, and resilience. So much positive engagement from children & young people at today’s open day at Kirkdale. Young people got to squirt water, try on equipment, use throw lines & learn about the Youth Programmes Mersey Fire offer. Also great for us to meet some of our local Spotters 🚒📸

First time up at FPA Sports Hub. Great set up. 2 brilliant games. Second game was fantastic. The U10 derby finished 1-0 both teams going at it loads of football until the final whistle. Very competitive game. Well done all involved Merseyside Youth Football League ⚽️

Brilliant day at the Mersey Fire Aintree open day. It’s always great to be able to engage with young people and their families and give them a taste of what we do as a Fire & Rescue Service.

Congratulations to students from Our Lady of Walsingham (Sefton), St Vincent De Pauls (Liverpool), St Joseph & The Worker (Knowsley) and Cathcart Street (Wirral) who celebrated the end of their Beacon Courses last week! 🔥🚒

They took part in fun and enriching experiences to develop wider key skills in communication, problem solving & working with others. We are proud of all the children who completed the course and have developed skills to keep themselves safe within their homes & communities!

21 Fire Cadets from our Voice Forum & their leaders took part in a fantastic residential this past weekend PGL Schools & Groups Caythorpe Court! As well as having fun we began work on an outcomes framework for UK Fire Cadets to help measure the impact Fire Cadet programmes have 🔥

Two firefighters and one member of the public have been confirmed dead following a fire incident at Bicester, Oxfordshire. This is terrible news. Our thoughts are with their families, friends and colleagues. The FBU will be on hand to provide support in the coming days.
