Agree.. one of the council houses I grew up in had an oak tree in the garden and a crack house opposite. Older social housing was built to be a nice place to live. Having lived in south Manchester I did find the description of Burnage as a leafy suburb a bit something,

Considering the Guardian keeps platforming Transphobia it’s a bit rich now to start tutting about homophobic comments from 20+ years ago. What damage have you caused today?

Careless reporting ⁦The Guardian⁩. The stabbings took place almost opposite Kensington Gardens on Bayswater. If a stabbing took place hundreds of metres away from Leeds, Reading or Glastonbury festivals, would media have been so keen to connect the incident to the events?

There’s always been tensions within PoC communities around solidarity primarily because of racism, Islamophobia, anti-blackness but to blatantly throw another group under the bus in the middle of them experiencing genocide is something else. SHAME on Black Lives Matter (BLM)

Been asked to post this here. If you gonna use Sudan/Congo to attack and undermine people on Palestine you better show up and actively support that movement or you’re using Black suffering for online sport.

It's already a terrifying stat that there is no region in England where an average-earning woman can afford to live (buy or rent) on her own. Let's not make it any worse. Justice for us single people.

The lack of empathy some people have for Palestinians is crazy. If my grandparents had been expelled from their country and I was to this day legally barred from going back there, I would definitely feel some type of way about it!

Only thing I am taking from this is that liberals are slow off the mark as it’s been fairly obvious what this paper has been about the last few years.
