Today I had the pleasure of attending the #UISedu annual Student Affairs Leadership Awards. It was an inspiring event where we celebrated the incredible achievements of our student leaders across campus.

Only three days until #UISedu Commencement! 🎓 Valerie Udemba, this year’s student speaker, stopped by my office today to pick up her certificate. She’s an international student from Nigeria earning her MBA.

Today at the U of I Board of Trustees meeting we honored University of Illinois Springfield Student Trustee Christian Johnson for his outstanding service. Christian is a shining example of dedication to leadership and service at the highest level. We are proud of his contributions and the impact he’s made!

Had a great time connecting with #UISedu alumni and friends at the Cardinals vs. Cubs game at Busch Stadium tonight. Tough loss for us Cardinals fans, but it was even better to catch up with so many familiar faces—and to meet Fredbird!

During the #UISedu Chancellor’s Cabinet Retreat today, we took time to give back by making blankets for children in hospitals through Fleece & Thank You. Thanks to the Volunteer Center for organizing this meaningful project.
