& be sure to show a variety of skills

Life hack:

• Look a man in the eyes when you shake his hand

• Hold the door open for others

• Look for the good in others (but trust your gut)

• Always keep your word

• Return the shopping cart

• Say please and thank you

• Volunteer

• Become a Servant Leader

As a whole, HS football coaches are some of the hardest working people in education. They sacrifice of themselves to invest in young men for little or no financial reward. For u to imply that a great majority are lazy is insulting to the men of our profession.

👀it all the time. Some run. Some hide. Some don’t like what they’re🦻so they look to avoid the truth at all costs. U can run, but U can’t hide from the results. Sooner or later the truth will come to💡Can’t complain about the results U didn’t get from the work U didn’t put in🤷‍♂️

Athletes: high school is easy!

1. Show up
2. Turn in your work
3. Don’t be a jerk

You do those three things, you should never be ineligible.

You don't create culture with signs and slogans.

You create culture with people and leadership!💯💯

I changed to making a single sheet, usually about 5 things, my 'Thingss to Know' page. We had much greater success after that.

Don't bog you players down in minutiae and let them play fast.

Anyone else feel this way? I'm issuing equip for spring practice, and every new kid that's never played who wants equip has a funky shaped head. The conundrum is, 'Do I let this kid come out and bite the bullet to order him an XL+ helmet knowing full well he's gonna quit by Aug?'

If we gotta beg you to get the application done, chase down paperwork… we’ll have to do the same thing when you’re here

It’s a really easy way to get yourself off of recruiting boards

Building a great Football program is a lot like riding an elevator. On the way up, you may have to stop & let some people on, and others off!

Competition conquers fear & builds confidence.

If someone is telling you that competition is ‘bad’ & that you shouldn’t compete - throw that advice in the🚮

Healthy competition is necessary for growth. If you want to be the best version of yourself you must learn to compete!

Recruiting Tip:

Every camp I’ve run, there are college coaches that already have guys highlighted that they want to see in person (actively recruiting or need to confirm the film).
