With yr13s today, dropping magnets through a coil - Faraday's Law. phyphox project timed experiment makes it easy to catch the moment of dropping. Refresh rate of the Bluetooth voltmeter high enough to see the shape change from magnet approaching and leaving coil #iteachphysics

Pushing to more #phyphox experiments for student in the first year of #physics RWTH Aachen !! Any idea what all these wheels are good for?

When the normal force is "turned off", there is no friction! #Physics RWTH Aachen (Thanks to Sebastian Staacks for labeling the video).

Something very useful for the lab...: An open-source robust machine learning platform for real-time detection and classification of 2D material flakes doi.org/10.1088/2632-2… via Machine Learning: Science and Technology

Kicking a smartphone with the fingers and wait until it stops due to friction. Measure the acceleration with phyphox project and integrate it twice in time. Beautiful exercise, rich of insights: kinematics, dynamics, energy, work, numerical integration, uncertainty.

When a layer of twisted bilayer graphene is aligned with hexagonal boron nitride, additional single-particle band gaps appear! See our recent paper in Phys. Rev. B for more details! Great to see our work on #NegativeElectronicCompressibility in charge islands in #TwistedBilayerGraphene being picked as PRB Editor's Suggestion! Thanks for all the support: ML4Q, 2dmp, Forschungszentrum Jülich | @[email protected], RWTH Aachen!

New Nano Letters! Ultrasteep Slope Cryogenic FETs Based on Bilayer Graphene | Nano Letters pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac… Check out our latest work on graphene and cryogenic FET. Fanstastic collaboration within RWTH Aachen and Forschungszentrum Jülich | @[email protected]

Tomorrow starts the “Festival della Scienza” in Genova! This is a perfect opportunity to explore the wonders of science! Maybe another year we should be there with the phyphox project app, making science accessible to everyone. Don’t miss it! #FestivalScienza #Genova2024
