We are disappointed Governor Gavin Newsom Gavin Newsom signed #AB98 today, ignoring the concerns of community-based organizations and environmental organizations throughout #California. Read our full statement here👇🏽 leadershipcounsel.org/governor-newso…
The City of Fresno’s South Central Specific Plan draft fails to adequately protect residents in South Central and beyond. Join us this Wednesday at 6PM for a public hearing at the Planning Commission to demand an updated plan that meets communities’ needs.
The City of Fresno must go back to the table with community and ensure residents’ priorities are included in the South Central Specific Plan. The health, safety, and well-being of existing communities and future generations are at stake.
Air pollution knows no bounds. Southeast #Fresno community residents stand with their South Central neighbors in calling for City of Fresno to redraft the South Central Specific Plan to better address air quality and truck traffic concerns.
Today, City of Fresno Councilmembers voted 6-0 to NOT adopt the South Central Specific Plan and go back to the table with an ad hoc committee and stakeholders to redraft the plan. We agree with Miguel Arias that South Central community voices MUST be at that table.
Why is California giving nearly $1B 💸 to oil companies every year, instead of lowering your electric and gas bills? These giveaways only hurt everyday Californians! That money should be used to help by lowering costs and investing in clean energy. Governor Gavin Newsom Henry Stern
Time is running out to prevent the most dangerous impacts of climate change. Gavin Newsom's Cap-and-Trade proposal lacks the ambition to ensure CA’s climate action is equitable & affordable. We signed this letter urging lawmakers to do better! bit.ly/4kALFa9
