On Monday, some of Y6 boys worked amazingly well as a team representing our school in a St Helens football competition. Each one of them showed great sportsmanship, and despite getting wet to the bone whilst on the pitch, they still came off smiling! St Helens School Sport

Year 5/6 (Class 8) have been busy in Science today. As part of their unit on light they have learned about reflection and how it can be used to help us to see 🧑‍🔬💡

Last night the school choir performed as part of the Young Voices choir at the AO Arena in Manchester. The children had a fantastic time and lots of the children have said "that was the best night of my life" The children are a credit to the school and we are so proud of them all

Reception had a wonderful time sharing their class worship all about ‘hope’. After learning about Noah and his ark, the children were keen to share about what they hoped for the future for our world. We think they did a fantastic job!

Thanks to Bents Garden & Home for our wonderful new plants for our outdoor area. Reception had a wonderful time learning how to prepare our bedding boxes for planting and how to care for our plants. 🌹💐🌷🌼🌻🌺

On Friday, our girl’s teams from Y1 to Y6 took part in the biggest ever girls football festival at Rainford High. They had a fantastic day!! Alice who was chosen out of ALL the participants by the coaches for being the girl showing superb sportsmanship! What a superstar! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rainford CE played a friendly netball match on Monday 20th May against Corpus Christi . The match was very competitive and all the children worked really hard, showing some good passing and team play. Rainford won 8-2. Well done to all who took part. St Helens School Sport

A HUGE thank you to all who came to support our Gala afternoon. It was a brilliant success thanks to the hard work of our amazing community! We were overwhelmed with people willing to help and give up their time to put this event together for the children of our school.

Following a weekend cleanup of the big planters 👩‍🌾👨‍🌾 Our nursery children and Mrs Garner, have spent the day planting herbs, 🌿 the strawberries 🍓and giving them all a very good watering! We’ll have fruit 🍓 and vegetables 🥕available along with the eggs from the chickens 🐓 🥚

Y1 enjoyed a special event in Church today- the baptism of their Y1 baby, Alfie Jacob! The children throughly enjoyed learning all about significance of baptism and the three symbols used during a baptism service: the cross, the water and the light. Thank you so much Rev. Janet

Smiles of absolute WINNERS!!🥇 Our girl’s netball team have worked tirelessly all year- rain, wind and shine, to become a strong team for inter school sports competitions this term. They have played two local schools recently winning both games with a huge margin St Helens School Sport

Year 5 recently visited the GMP Museum (part of the National Justice Museum). They had an enriching experience learning about the rich history of policing, dating back to the very first officers. The highlight of the trip was a stimulating courtroom workshop. 😄🚔
