Spring calving kicked off again, just not so sure about the ‘spring’ part 🫤 160 calved by now, out grazing in the day and in with silage at night. Unfortunately another 4 cows had to be shot on farm last week due to TB, not an experience I’d wish on anyone! Life goes on! 🤙

Surely the best start to a season so far! 75% calved first 4weeks, and looking good for 90% for 6weeks. Averaging 25.5litres and 2.2kg solids, still in at night on silage for now. Used some sexed and some conventional last year, ended up with 150 heifers and 65 males! Onwards 🙌
