“Kale is a nutrition powerhouse—packed with Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, calcium, fiber, protein, iron, antioxidants. Eating kale and other dark, leafy greens is a great way boost your immune system over the cold winter months!” #NutritionTipTuesday #KaleYeah #EatMoreVeggies

The CK team took a break today to celebrate the holidays and Karen's retirement with a fun gift swap and a delicious lunch prepared by our chefs! The staff here at the Kitchen work hard to keep operations running smoothly throughout the year, allowing us to help those we serve.

Last week we were happy to have Martin and Robbin, two of our alumni, come by for a visit. The two of them met while taking part in our Spring 2018 CAT-BAT program, and are now newly engaged! Congrats and best wishes in your future endeavors from all of us at CK!

“We cannot walk alone.” We couldn't think of a better way to honor Martin Luther King Jr's legacy than coming together as a community to feed our hungry neighbors. We'd like to thank all of our volunteers and staff who dedicated their holiday to service yesterday!

Yesterday was an exciting day at CK! It was the first day of class for our new culinary and baking students and Sharif Byrd, graduate of Class 4, stopped by for a visit. Sharif shared his journey and a few words of inspiration with the students as they begin their training!
