Can't wait for the Basketball Wales | Pêl-Fasged Cymru Junior NBA South Conference competition today Cardiff Met Sport We are competing as the Charlotte Hornets and the Year 8 boys and girls from Cathays High School can't wait!

A fantastic day at the #JNBA Basketball Wales | Pêl-Fasged Cymru event today. Our year 8's competing as the Charlotte Hornets won 3 from 3 to qualify for the Finals Day in Aberystwyth on 15th June. Isaias B also won MVP for the day! This Cathays High School team now have 18 wins and 0 losses this year!

Congratulations to our Cathays High School Yr 8 boys who became WELSH CHAMPIONS on Friday at the Basketball Wales Schools Basketball Wales | Pêl-Fasged Cymru Finals. They were outstanding and convincingly won the semi final and final! Our Yr 11/13 girls lost out to Merched Glantaf by 2 points in an amazing final!

A great win for our Cathays High School Year 7 basketball team last night against CHS PE Department 🔴⚫️ We were 14-4 up at one point but Cardiff High came back to 14-12. Thanks for coming over to us and thanks to Tribal Basketball for helping to run the fixture!

A great day for our Cathays High School Year 8 boys at the Urdd Gobaith Cymru Rugby 7's competition today. We lost all 4 matches but were competitive in 3 of them, just losing out in the last few minutes of each. 10 tries scored in total and some outstanding performances! Emad W was fantastic!

A tough match for our year 8 boys football team against Llanishen High PE Department We had won 7 in a row before this afternoon but Llanishen were a class above. Lots to work on and look forward to next year for Cathays High School year 8 boys, an outstanding team with a great work ethic.

Congratulations to the six junior boys and six junior girls (year 8/9) that represented Cathays High School for the first time in an Athletics competition yesterday! You competed extremely well and we are looking forward to the individual competitions coming up over the next month!

We had a great time at the Glamorgan Cricket match last night with students from Years 7, 8 and 9. A really enjoyable experience for our students from Cathays High School Looking forward to our own match tomorrow against Cathedral School for our Year 9 boys!

We can't wait for our Cathays High School KS3 Sports Day on Tuesday at Cardiff Met. A reminder to all KS3 students to wear their PE kit to school! We are also looking forward to the Welsh Baseball tournaments at Heath Park on Mon (Yr8), Wed (Yr9) and Thurs (Yr10) of next week!

An amazing day at our Cathays High School sports day today at NIAC, Cardiff Met. Huge amount of students participating and enjoying. Thanks to all students for their excellent behaviour and to all staff for helping. Biggest thanks to Mr Alexander for organising!

A great week for Cathays High School students of Welsh Baseball at Heath Park this week with Years 8-10 involved in 3 tournaments with over 40 different students involved! We also hosted a primary school competition yesterday in collaboration with Glamorgan Cricket What a lovely day for it!
