CSM Mullinax was my first BN CSM

He broke his foot on a training jump once, still put his weapon into operation, and got in a stack with the 11Bs to start clearing buildings on the airfield.

Many of us got tattoos in honor of his motto when he left:

Silence, Violence, Silence!

King of Battle!

Congratulations to a great Field Artillery leader on his promotion to General Officer!

And a growing Swiftie, I might add…Jason T. Williams

Look how far these guys have come!

Just a few weeks ago, they were eating cookies baked by tortured marketing department

They must have been good luck!

Yesterday’s shenanigans are gonna push me into making a thread on AWIFM-N.

Is what you really want?

It’s what some of y’all need…

Trent had the courtesy of commenting so I’ll respond.

Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) are not considered tube (rounds through a barrel) artillery by anyone’s definition.

Hope that clears everything up.

No.

I’ve literally used Andrew Perpetua’s video and GEOINT analysis to help illustrate what combined arms warfare look like in Ukraine, during multiple Field Artillery classes for other officers.

Shoot and scoot is not a doctrinal term for US tube artillery and never has been.

Here’s what a 105mm M101 mentioned below looks like in action.

Lacking the range of the more modern L118/M119, it’s still a reliable piece of kit that Ukraine can put 100s of rounds through each day.

What is the scale of engineering support artillery needs in LSCO?

It’s larger than you might think.

If you aren’t digging your guns, you don’t understand the threats out there today.

Also, different requirements for a firing point and hide site exist.
