A big thank you to all our families for your support this morning at the Macmillan Coffee Morning. It was great to see so many people. The event was a huge success - the amount of donations and cake contributions we received was truly overwhelming. We raised a total amount of £70

We held our first family Harvest assembly in the hall today. Paul from Food 4 Thought was delighted to receive our donations and we all enjoyed Rev Nick and Anita’s assembly!

We enjoyed learning all about Diwali last week, so would like to send our best wishes to everyone celebrating today!

This morning we hosted a maths workshop, sharing with parents and carers how we teach maths. We loved having our parents in class learning along side us.

We were so proud of all our children, as they took part in the very first Nativity at Castleward 🎄

We enjoyed wearing our Christmas jumpers for our Christmas dinner this week. Miss Lawrence did such a fantastic job cooking the food. It was great for the staff and children to share food, friendship and giggles together. 🎄🎉

We would like to wish all of our families celebrating a Happy Chinese New Year! The children throughly enjoyed learning how their friends celebrate and the fabulous meal we had at lunch.

Year one did a great job representing our school at an athletics festival today. They showed determination, resilience and team work,as they learnt new sports skills. Thank you to Derby County Community Trust for organising such a great event.

This week we hosted our annual MacMillan Coffee Morning. It was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with our fabulous parents and carers too 🧁

For our harvest assembly we were joined by Reverend Nick and Reverend Anita from St Peters Church. They reminded us how we can be thankful and think about the ways in which we can share.

We enjoyed our first ever afternoon tea with Mrs Trail today, for being the stars of the week this half term!

Today, year 2 were joined by Andrew and Jason from Morgan Sindall. They came to deliver a session on the different materials which can be used for building different structures. The children had the opportunity to explore different materials! Thank you for joining us!

Coop Travel Derby organised a festive colouring competition for the children to complete. The winners were delighted with their prizes. Thank you!
