We still haven't lost the ability to be shocked by trash pollution. This is the scene on the south side of Eastover shopping center by Forest Heights Elementary. Once we get a bottle deposit law, a place like this will be worth thousands of dollars.

Move over cherry blossoms—it’s the redbud’s time to shine! Eastern redbuds are native to the region, and they’re one of the first trees to flower in the spring. Take a look outside and give it up for the redbud 👏🌸

Together with our partner @doee_dc, we’ve planted thousands of FREE trees at homes across DC thru the RiverSmart Homes Program. These trees add shade, beauty, reduce stormwater runoff, and cool and clean our air. See how we're getting to DC's goal of 40% tree canopy by 2032 ⬇️

Big news! We just released our annual Tree Report Card, which analyzes the state of DC’s trees and grades its progress towards achieving 40% tree canopy. This year, DC scored an overall A- but there's still room to grow. See our progress: caseytrees.org/trc
