Two of our brilliant 2nd years, Steffi and Amelia, recently returned from a month-long placement in the USA with the Tampa Bay Rays 🇺🇸 ⚾️ 💥 Here, Steffi shares some thoughts on her fantastic experience 🗣️

“Myself and Amelia were fortunate enough to work alongside the athletic trainers at the Tampa Bay Rays organisation. Throughout the month we learned different manual therapy techniques such as dry needling, hivamat, laser and shockwave therapy.

We also spent time learning under the strength and conditioning coaches and the sports science department who showed us the importance of fitness testing to improve player’s performance and for injury prevention.

It was a pleasure to spend time & learn under some of the best & most experienced staff in baseball, I have learned skills that are invaluable to my degree & that I will continue to use throughout my career. It was truly a privilege & an experience I will never forget.”
