Yes it was possible to wear this armour (15thc BC, from Dendra) for extended periods of battle!

Central mosaic panel from Ephesus, 6thC AD, depicting a cupid driving a chariot drawn by dolphins.
The tesserae comprise local stone, ceramic and glass. The mosaic decorated the main room of a house near the harbour.
