Congratulations to the SRO unit at Carmel Police Department! This well deserved and the parents of CCS students are grateful to have such a solid team keeping all of our kids safe.
Having a stressful week? On the bright side, you didn't get called out by 🐢🐢🐢John Green🐢🐢🐢, then respond by broadcasting your cowardice and incompetence to the world. (Unless you're one of four Hamilton East Public Library board members. In which case, you totally deserve the week you're having.)
Thanks for bringing this to the community's attention, 🐢🐢🐢John Green🐢🐢🐢 & Sssarah . The actions of these Hamilton East Public Library board members offer a great opportunity for @BTLawNews to share their thoughts on the legal and ethical obligations established by Indiana's open door laws.
There are reasons that anti-public-education activists like Moms for Liberty Hamilton County, IN repeatedly say our schools and libraries are showing porn to kids, but none of them have anything to do with porn being shown to kids. youtube.com/shorts/RqMWKgx…
If you know a member of the Indiana media who reports on school enrollment trends, please feel free to retweet this at them. Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) uses misleading language that makes it hard to accurately analyze or report on public vs private enrollment.
IREAD and ILEARN scores will be released by Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) in the coming weeks. Inoculate yourself against the narrative that subjecting 8-year-olds to high-stakes, high-pressure, poorly written tests tells us anything concrete about where they're at academically.
What timing. Can we get someone in local media to examine just how seriously we should take ILEARN instead of merely reposting the state's data? WFYI Eric Weddle Rachel Fradette Chalkbeat Indiana MJ Slaby Indiana Capital Chronicle Casey Smith WTHR.com IndyStar Caroline Beck
Many Hoosiers don't understand just how much handouts to the wealthy are costing their local schools. If you see a candidate supporting 'school choice,' know they intend for these numbers to get a lot bigger next year. Credit to Phil Downs for how to quantify the losses.
