HRM Fire says water has been restored to the QE2 Hospital this morning,after a water main break left the building with no heat or water.
A “stop gap” measure of connecting hoses from a hydrant to the hospital will allow normal operations til waterline is fixed.CTV Atlantic

6:45 am : Fire crews were dispatched to the homeless encampment at Grand Parade,Hfx, after a camp fire got out of control, burning a tent nearby. Blaze was quickly extinguished by HRM Fire.No one hurt.

RCMP confirm that one is dead after a head-on collision between a tractor trailer and a Ford F-350 happened this morning in Elmsdale.
Driver of F-350 was pronounced deceased at the scene. Crash occurred on the bridge spanning Hwy 102,Exit 8.
Investigation ongoing.

HRP say a 32 yr old man has died after being stabbed last night at a residence on Twin Oaks Rd, Spryfield. Police arrested a 36 year old male suspect nearby without incident.
Forensics unit now on scene as investigation continues.

Police say:
Death occurred last night around 9pm.
Deceased is a 71 yr old male.
There is no risk to public safety.
