Saying goodbye to Carl Reynolds who for the last 2 years has been our rheology expert and the inventor of our very own sand pack column SANDRA! Best of luck in your new position!

The Polyisoprene Concerto: 3rd harmonics show chain stretch features at low frequencies, but stress need for complete theory. Phys.Rev.Res 2, 033457 (2020) - Chain-stretch relaxation from low-frequency Fourier transform rheology journals.aps.org/prresearch/abs… well done, Carl & Dave!

Really happy to see our latest research published in PRR! We show signs of polymer chain stretch in MAOS rheology at low frequency. Combined with modelling this could be a powerful tool, but sophisticated current models do not fully capture experiment. link.aps.org/doi/10.1103/Ph…

Our latest paper reviewing the metrology options for electrode coating. Also my first review! With Sam Hare, Mark Simmons, Peter Slater, Emma Kendrick doi.org/10.1016/j.matd…

Pretty cool that I get to do this as part of my job! Trialling activities to show the coating processes of batteries via the medium of icing 🙂

It is #FriYAY and #NationalBatteryDay. Rheology is a very important when it comes to coating our electrodes. Why not explore #rheology of cornflour and custard, this weekend? Learn more here with #FUSE2021 Zoë Wright's infographics on electrode manufacture - on this thread.

I spent yesterday playing a lot of games and looking at games and buying some games with Carl Reynolds and Craig. And so today we shall do the same. With more food packed. #UKGE2022

Very happy to share this collaborative work with WMG. See inside for insights into slurry properties during electrode manufacturing, obtained through a machine learning approach. Thanks to all involved, in particular Mona Faraji Niri for much hard work on this. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Delighted to share a duo of papers on the rheology of electrode slurries, in shear (doi.org/10.1002/ente.2…) and extension (doi.org/10.1016/j.matd…). See inside for why flow properties are vital to electrode processing

Happy #BatteryDay! Energy Materials Group (Birmingham) is hosting a Battery Bake and Make at 1pm in the Met and Mat Foyer! My contribution - a ‘3D printed electrode cake’ P.S. if this sounds like a group you'd like to join - we have a PhD position open to UK applicants – findaphd.com/phds/project/m…
