Most benefit rates will rise by 6.7% today, due to the normal annual ‘uprating’ rules which match #inflation .
However, the basic rate of #UniversalCredit still won't be enough to cover people's basic essentials. That’s why we need Universal Credit to guarantee #OurEssentials .
