🔥 Prescribed burning continues in the Mike Harris area. Crews will also be working along North Leigh Roadside tomorrow to finish pile burning. Smoke may be visible—drive carefully and use headlights. Check air quality at fire.airnow.gov.

Red Flag Warning from 1-9 p.m. on the southern half of the Forest for gusty winds and low humidity. Fire Danger is Very High & resources are limited. Avoid human starts. Checking trailer chains, skip approved campfires, don't park on dry grass, keep a fire extinguisher in OHV.

Rocky Top Fire update: Reported Aug. 18, 11 miles NW of Swan Valley (Black Canyon). Estimated 2 acres, smoldering/creeping with isolated torching. Smoke visible from Hwy 26. Cause: lightning. No closures or structures threatened. Crews and aircraft are responding.
