A chalcedony rose we found in the Mojave desert on one of our camping trips.

The kid my realtor recommended to do heavy jobs on the property is going to do it tonight when he gets off work. Sucks that I have to pay someone to do things that I could do myself because there's only one of me, but at least that's one thing off my plate.

Yesterday Rebel had a play date with his friend Josie, today he met Meg, one of the the dogs from the ranch down the road. He has a better social life than I do, but he says the ladies are wearing him out. Time for a puppy nap.

My palate cleanser is a rescue dog who had no house manners. He ate my leather furniture, 5 computer mouses, a dozen TV remotes, countless books, and still likes to shred toilet paper. He often chooses not to listen to a word I say. And he counter surfs!
