As someone who receives PIP and has a job as a journalist, I would very much like to know why the Labour Party is going round the media perpetuating the myth PIP is an out of work benefit. Does Reeves know it’s not? Or does she not actually care?

I'm so glad research is proving what I have been saying for years. Parent Carer trauma is not acknowledged. Instead the label of difficult parent is applied too easily rather than traumatised parent #WhoCaresForTheCarer

I want to move towards people understanding facts before spouting rubbish. I applied for PIP for my husband with early onset Alzheimer’s and even with my professional knowledge it was a nightmare. Wanted to interview him on the phone. He didn’t know how to use a phone anymore 🤬

His father Ricardo, a police officer, visited the room and said it was worse than a prison cell. He spotted a CCTV camera inside and demanded staff show him one of the videos.

Wouldn’t it be great if the Scottish Government showed how compassionate it really is and scraps social care charges immediately? A lot of the Scottish Adult disability payment, or PIP if you haven’t migrated over yet, is taken by councils in these charges.

I’m a disabled unpaid carer and I’ve already had my pip denied before now because I’m caring for my son.

If you decimate an already fragile social care system; if you procure social care via ‘VFM’ or rock bottom price contracts; when crucial community organisations are fighting to survive, this is what happens. Not new, but getting worse.
