Interesting paper by the group of Thomas Carell The Carell Group in ChemEurJ: Chemistry - A European Journal. They studied the ability of 5-formyl-dC and 5-formyl-dU to form Schiff bases with lysines on the level of the nucleoside, DNA and nucleosome and show that 5fdU is more reactive. doi.org/10.1002/chem.2…
