The Ontario government is cancelling physician & hospital services for uninsured people. This will force many vulnerable people to wait until they are really sick and even near death...before seeking care. No compassion. No humanity. 💔

This is a horrid affront to the values inherent in Canada’s universal #HealthSystem and will cause further harm to already marginalized people.

We should not be saving tax dollars by eliminating health coverage for Ontarians who otherwise qualify. Homelessness, addictions, lack of friend/family support, disability, and/or mental illness, should not be barriers to obtaining public insurance.

FACT: Some under Ford who may not now get free medical care: Ukrainian refugees,Homeless (who are dying at the rate of 3 a week in Toronto) Seniors who have misplaced their OHIP (maybe because they can't afford cataract surgery) YOU (if you're in an accident and lose all your ID)

Retweet this if you think the Ontario government should immediately reverse their cuts to healthcare for uninsured people. #Healthcare4All

Providing healthcare coverage to those uninsured was a great decision. 400,000 services were provided by 7000 MDs to patients in need, many of whom qualify for OHIP but barriers prevent them from getting a card. The program should be continued and improved upon, not cancelled.

NEVER have I seen the Toronto District School Board offer an option to OPT OUT of human rights education, of recognizing marginalized The OHRC CODE PROTECTED groups. Shameful capitulation to hate under the rhetoric of "parent choice." Retract this direction immediately Andrew Howard #OntEd

I want to introduce everyone to Devin. Thanks to his tireless work, ALS patients of Synapticure are able to receive access to Relyvrio and Radicava in just 14 days. Everyone living with ALS needs a Devin. synapticure.com/blog/meet-our-…

The only way we ever drive change is when people who are not impacted by a problem start to pay attention to it and demand change. Thank you to those of you who are not impacted by ALS but have joined us to demand change. #grateful

Gotta love the timing: new language curriculum released in the final week of June. 0 time for teachers to absorb, prep, nevermind be consulted. Oh, and still no contract. #onted

Patient Family Engagement is a critical part of any #healthcare system, the "other side of the coin". Let's look for ways to authentically engage from the start. It benefits both of us! #patientengagement

The biggest problem with bureaucracy isn't having too many rules. It's having rules that fail to serve core values and goals. Dysfunctional organizations have rigid policies that thwart the mission. Healthy organizations have policies that can be changed to advance the mission.
