On February 23, CentraCare Heart & Vascular (CCHV) performed the first Watchman procedure in Minnesota using an advanced imaging technology called NuVision™️ 4D intracardiac echo (ICE).

ICE can assist, or in some cases replace, traditional 4D transesophageal echo (TEE). Unlike TEE, ICE is much smaller and is inserted through the groin and up into the heart. By doing so, patients need less sedation, often allowing them to go home sooner.
