Our Year 7 open evenings will be held on Thursday 11 September 2025 and Wednesday 17 September 2025 when The Headmaster will address parents and pupils at 4.30pm and again at 6.00pm. Following each speech, parents will be taken on a tour of the school.

We know you don't want to be thinking about the end of the summer holidays just yet, but we've been busy here in preparation for the new term. Here's a look at what we've done and there's so much left to do!

Sixth Form pupils Jamie, Bill and Josh, recently cycled over 300 miles from Westminster Cathedral in London to Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral in support of the Cardinal Hume Centre. They have raised over £3,000 | zurl.co/MLB3N. Well done on this fantastic achievement!

Congratulations to Georgia Hunter-Bell who won a bronze medal in the 800 metres at the Lausanne Diamond League meet, with a time of 1:57.55.

Reminder: Our Year 12 open evenings for external applicants will be held on Wednesday 1 October 2025 and Tuesday 14 October 2025. The Headmaster will speak at 5.00pm, after which you are welcome to tour the school.

It was exciting to welcome our new First Form pupils and their families to the Vaughan. We look forward to watching their progress as they journey through the school, both inside and outside the classroom. We wish every member of our community a happy and successful year!

This week our Lower Sixth gathered for a welcome talk to begin their Sixth Form adventure, focusing on new friendships, settling in, and the many opportunities ahead. From subject choices to extra-curricular life, we look forward to seeing them thrive.

Last Saturday, 240 pupils took part in extra-curricular sport: 220 at rugby training and 20 in the annual ‘Old Vaughanians’ Football Fixture. Thank you to staff and parents for their support- a tremendous start to the year!

As we start a new year, we look back over the 110 years since the school opened its doors in September 1914.

Yesterday, Very Rev Fr Michael Toomey OV (1982–1990) was present in Rome for the canonisation of Saint Carlo Acutis. He remembered the Vaughan community in his prayers and spoke with Saint Carlo’s mother, who also promised her prayers for our School.
