Sharing a new paper on associations between human milk, #breastfeeding , and #neurodevelopment for infants with #CHD . In a small, limited, sample, we found interesting differences in cognition, language, and motor scores related to #nutrition .

1. Critical #CHDs are lifelong dzs & carry a longer burden of care than common CV dzs- on average six of the cCHDs have ~ 14x higher lifetime burden of medical costs than congestive heart failure (CHF), w/ lifetime indirect costs ~23X more.
