In 2021 we decided to end grazing on Queen Elizabeth Park and use our Low Carbon Acceleration Fund to restore its wetlands. At the time some said it wouldn’t work, but the speed of natural recovery has exceeded expectations, with wetlands rapidly reviving and fernbirds returning.
