The Capitol Hoops Summer League @ DeMatha+ has 6 teams that participated in last year’s summer league still alive in the MPSSAA playoffs!

Summer League Spotlight Series: Eli Adegbenro

Eli’s athleticism was shining this summer. It helped him make big impacts on both ends of the floor, shooting 61% as well as averaging 2.6 steals and 1.6 blocks. He led FCS to a 7-3 record and earned a first team all league spot

Summer League Standout Series: Martin Somerville.

Somerville’s jumper was absolutely lights out this summer. He shot over 40 percent from deep averaging almost 17 ppg. He was a unanimous first team selection and will be tasked with leading a young McNamara team this season.

Summer League Spotlight Series: Jayden Fort

Fort was crucial in JRHS’ run to their 2nd summer league chip. He dominated the inside on both ends averaging a double double and over 1 block per game. Him and MVP Lucas Sekasi formed a dominant PnR duo that took JRHS all the way.

Summer League Standout Series: Adrien Stevens

Stevens’ breakout summer was the catalyst for Bullis going undefeated in the regular season. Stevens was unstoppable as a slasher this summer. He was able to do it on both ends of the floor as well finishing 2nd in steals.

Summer League Standout Series: Cam Ward

Despite only featuring in six games Largo guard Cam Ward had enough time to put up some monster numbers in summer league. He was the scoring champion averaging over 28 per game while also grabbing over 14 boards per contest.

All Summer-League standout series: Ty Bevins

The 3 ⭐️ recruit led Brandywine Boyz to a 8-2 regular season behind his 18 points per game 6 boards and 3 assists. Bevins performance earned him a first team all summer-league spot and a 3rd place finish in MVP voting.

Summer League Standout Series: Alexandria City G Kye Robinson

Kye was summer league’s most prolific scorer averaging 23 points per game on 58 percent from the field . These numbers earned him a 2nd place finish in MVP voting and helped Alexandria City finish summer league 8-2.

We had over 35 interns this summer at summer league who help make our league what it is. From creative content to youtube videos to our social media coordinators and folks who conduct interviews to our writing staff and basketball ops staff we killed it!
